Tanya Lehmann

Charitable Accountant

Tanya has been working remotely offering corporate accounting services through her own company since 2015. Home-schooling was always in the back of her mind since it offers the same flexibility and lifestyle. Living in Ontario, her oldest was in senior kindergarten when the schools shut down in 2020. This was the push that Tanya needed to start their home-schooling journey and their move back to BC. She loves that she gets to be present with her kids for every step of their learning and to encourage them to follow their passions. Tanya also appreciates not being locked into a specific grade level and that her kids are able to continually challenge themselves.

Working full-time, Tanya shares the home-schooling responsibilities with her partner, Kyle. Both place a great value on community involvement and are beyond grateful to have found Sticks & Stones. Tanya is happy that she’s able to contribute to this group of wonderful, like-minded people.

Sticks & Stones is so incredibly grateful to Tanya for stepping up and volunteering to fill a void in this organization that desperately needed to be filled in order to keep us on track for the future! We literally could not do this without her!!!

When not encouraging learning with their kids, Tanya can be found attending Taekwondo classes working towards her black belt, reading a good book, or spending time outdoors with her family enjoying all that the Okanagan has to offer.

“As difficult as the home-schooling responsibilities can be, the reward is beyond worth it. The special bond that is reinforced when parents get to spend all day with their children is immeasurable. And remember, it’s okay to take a break when either you or the kids need it!” – Tanya
