SCIENCE CLASS @ VERNON SCIENCE CENTRE


Gr K - 3: 9:30am - 10:30am
Join us in this 60-minute class where children will learn about the different types of forces, how we make objects move, and whether the shape, size, and materials it is made of influence this. The children will perform some hands-on experiments and challenges to find out the answers.

Gr. K-4: 10:45am - 11:45am
Join us in this 60-minute class where children will learn how machines transfer force and energy. They will use simple machines (levers, pulleys, wheels, inclined planes) to complete challenges and solve problems.

LOCATION: 2704 BC-6, Vernon, BC


COST:

  • MEMBERS: $12.00/child

  • NON-MEMBERS: $15.00/child (ticket sales will open to the public on May 27)
    ***only open to children in grade K-7

  • students who have paid for the field trip are also able to browse the galleries before/after for free.

  • PARENTS AND OTHER SIBLINGS NOT IN THE FIELD TRIP NEED TO PAY REGULAR ADMISSION IF EXPLORING THE GALLERIES
